We're less than 48 hours away from Christmas. This is the time when I really start to think about it and actually feel like it's coming. All but one of the gifts are wrapped, ready to be delivered to all of our loved ones. One of my students gave me a "Fresh Balsam" candle and it smells just like Christmas should. All piney and clean. (I've never lived in a house with a real Christmas tree as far as I remember.) The house is still a work in progress- there's laundry to be done and vacuuming and dusting. Tomorrow I will make Boeuf Bourguignon for our parents' Christmas Eve dinner along with buttered peas, boiled potatoes, and an English Trifle for dessert. That is what Christmas feels like.
Merry Christmas!
From our home to yours!
