Here are a few pictures of our new apartment all decked out for the holidays. We love living here and we had a blast decorating for Christmas. Enjoy!
Here we have my cookbook shelf (yes there is a whole bookshelf dedicated to my cookbooks) with my hand-crafted Santa from last year's craft nights and our favorite wedding photo, which is up year round.
This is what you see walking into our front door, a huge bookshelf with all of my kindergarten picture books, joyously decorated with a nativity set and JOY letters, also from last year's craft nights. This divides our rather large living room into two spaces, an entry way of sorts and a living/entertainment room.
This is my favorite place in our whole house. The case below holds a bunch of my current craft projects in fabric bins while on top we have our initials, a jar that is filled with seasonal things (bells and ornaments below) and a gorgeous Chicadee Shop Wreath. I believe that it is the original. Gorgeous! Hand-made pottery by Michael. Expensive stuff. :)
Our beloved Christmas tree. We've struggled to find a tree topper that is the appropriate size, so we opted for this great moose. Love him.
We love ornaments that mean something. This beauty was purchased at the Salt Lake Farmers' Market this summer. It is hand-made with a hand-blown glass bead on the bottom. We fell instantly in love with it. The felt garland was made by me. Tutorial here.
I love the felt ornaments that my mom has on her tree. So, I whipped up one of my own for last year, signifying our first ever Christmas tree together. Pattern available here.
This is my favorite thing about this season. Michael's sisters and mother made these the Christmas before we were married. It's a small quilted countdown to Christmas. Each number is a pocket and Michael and I take turns putting little notes with activity ideas or little gifts to open in each pocket. Gifts are usually ornaments that mean something from the year (like the Farmer's Market ornament). It's a blast!
By the way, if you are interested in a pattern or tutorial for this little guy, please let me know. I've been wanting to write one up for my Etsy shop but haven't gotten around to it because I don't know if anyone would care. . .
The Garland! This is hand made as well, spanning almost 20 feet of little felt circles and thread. So fun!
Snowflake obsession is here! Until February, there will be snowflakes everywhere!!!
Michael is an amazing snowflake cutter.
Hope you enjoyed the tour of our home!!! We love this Christmas season and hope that you enjoy it as well!
Merry Christmas!!

Love it! I wish I were as crafty as you! If you do make a pattern for the calendar, I would love to see it! Merry Christmas
